After the design was unveiled, participants of the parade proudly waved the new symbol in solidarity. The first Pride Parade in Britain took place in London in July 1972.
In order to prioritize health and well-being, One City One Pride 2021 is taking place virtually/in a socially distant manner for 2021. Pride parade, one of the nation’s oldest and largest LGBTQ celebrations, is being canceled for the second year in a row. Friday June 7 – Sunday June 9: LA Pride Festival takes place in West Hollywood and is a star-studded festival with appearances from performers like Meghan Trainor, Paul Abdul, and Years & Years.
